KaDy Students' struggle for the place in the semi-finals ended in frustration, as the team lost on penalties to Academic Health Education in Lodz.

The Poles were destined to ran away after two quick goals at the end of the first half, but KaDy Students engineered a fight-back to remember through goals by Kimmo Tolvanen (again) and captain Mikko Kytölä.

Winner was thus decided in a penalty kick contest. The ruthless Lodz team made no mistake, whereas captain Kytölä was the unlucky KaDy player to fail.

Despite the failure to achieve a semi-final place, KaDy Students will continue the tournament on Saturday with a match against the University of Malaga (Spain). At stake are the placings from 5-8. The match will take place at 17:00 (Finnish time).
